                 Mr. Watts,

As you requested on March 4, I have reviewed the submissions and narrowed them down to the four
best. Here are the ones I have selected:
Dennison, Inc.: designed our café on the fifteenth floor three years ago
Bradley Designers: won the Montross Award for its design of Harbor View
Monroe and Emerson: submitted the bid that is the least expensive
Chang Enterprises: has designed several hotel restaurants in Hong Kong; submitted an impressive bid
but is the most expensive of the group
I’ll have copies of all four bids delivered to your office in person later this afternoon. Since we’re
hoping to make the final selection by March 11, why don’t we sit down and talk about this matter in
your office tomorrow at ten in the morning?

                 Best,
                 Rebecca
