Warm-Blooded Animals

Mammals, like you and me, are a kind of animal. We are warm-blooded,

so our body temperature stays the same. It’s the same in

a warm or cool environment. Mammals keep their

body temperatures the same in different ways. We

sweat when we are too warm. Sweat cools down our

bodies. Dogs stick out their tongues to cool down.

We shiver when we are too cool. That’s because it

warms up our bodies. Dogs shiver to warm up

too. Warming up and cooling down is easy for

warm-blooded mammals like us!
