New Caney (July 15) – Chef Aaron Lee, a highly trained sushi chef,
opened the delightful sushi restaurant East Moon on Main Street
yesterday. Local residents were eager to dine at the city’s first sushi
restaurant, and since reservations are not accepted at this first-
come, first-served eating establishment, the line of customers
waiting for a table on its opening night stretched several blocks.

Fortunately, the quality of the dining experience more than justified
the time it took to get a table. Customers were delighted by the
diverse furnishings and more than satisfied with the large range of
both common and specialty sushi rolls available for them to select.
The night’s favorite: the New Caney roll, of course! A combination of
cream cheese, salmon, roe, asparagus, and spicy peppers, this roll
is sure to be a New Caney crowd-pleaser.

We are so lucky to have Chef Aaron Lee join our community. I look
forward to dining at East Moon again!
