New Metro Offerings TEST 1
The Washington, D.C. area Metro Line is pleased to announce the opening of its new line
servicing areas from Vienna to Bethesda. This new line — the Red Line — will open June
3. The Red Line will run from 5 A.M. to 12:30 A.M. from Monday through Saturday, and
from 8 A.M. to 10 P.M. on Sunday.
The Red Line has been under construction for the past 28 months. The project was
approved by Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland transit authorities and funded
through a combination of the three areas’ transportation budgets.
Information regarding the funding, construction, and grand opening of the Red Line can
be found on the metro’s Web site at www.dcmetro.com/redline. For information
regarding metro rates, schedules, and stops, please visit the Web site www.dcmetro.com/
information. Fare options included prepaid tickets as well as commuter discounts are
available.
All questions and concerns should be submitted through the online form found on the
metro Web site.
